Solace Foundation, in collaboration with Moremi Consulting Limited, organized a free training session on proposal writing and public speaking for Owu youth.
The training took place at the Owu Palace in Abeokuta, with HRM, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba (Prof.) Saka Matemilola, emphasizing the importance of proposal writing as a crucial skill for competing in the global labor market. The Olowu congratulated the participants and encouraged them to actively engage by paying attention and asking questions.
The facilitator, Ms. Oluwayemisi Folarin, explained that effective proposal writing requires thorough research and must align with the goals and objectives of the targeted organizations. The training covered several key objectives, including identifying the essential elements of a winning proposal, tailoring proposals to specific audiences and funding opportunities, writing clear, concise, and persuasive proposal narratives, and developing compelling budget proposals, among others.
Lending her voice, the co-organizer and Executive Director of Solace Foundation, Olori Ameenah Adeleye Matemilola, stated that the training was designed to equip youths and business owners with the necessary skills to secure funding, contracts, and sponsorships.
The initiative provided participants with valuable insights and practical knowledge to enhance their communication and proposal development skills, positioning them for greater success in their respective fields.
